Huh, it’s like a “normal” journal update. Weird.

14 Nov

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp       Was today longer than other days? I feel like it had to have been, because so much got done. But then again, most of it was spent in the car. The first scene for Logan and Popo has been filmed. I left after lunch to drive into Andover to get a monkey costume, permission to shoot in a classroom in South School, pick up Joe Sievers (Logan) and Mike Ickes (Popo) and his mother, since she’s the teacher in the classroom scene. Of course, the costume store was closed, and I didn’t really know where I was, and so it took until 345 to get to South School and since I was supposed to be at Joe’s house at 4, that wasn’t much time to get permission to shoot in a classroom. Fortunately, the principal and the custodian at South Elementary are really nice, and that worked out.
&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp       So the short (less than a minute long) classroom scene is on tape. The tree (with convenient platform) which will be the location for the first portion of the film has been located, as have potential hills for the final portion. And if you have no idea what I’m talking about, you’ll just have to wait and see. The final film will be done before the semester is over.
&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp       Oh, and for the record, I think the new Harry Potter movie looks really good. The feel of it is somehow more real, more heavy, which I think is due to the new director, and the subtle changes in production design. It’s not quite the same world as was seen in the first two films. The most obvious difference is that the main characters seem more free to wear muggle-like-clothes, tho perhaps this is just because those clips are from outside Hogwarts, where uniforms aren’t required. I do have a question tho, why does the chorus at Hogwarts require all the singers to hold giant frogs??
&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp       Anyways, that’s gonna be all for now, because I have to get up early in the morning, and drive 2 hours to Andover to start filming as early as possible since it starts to get dark at 4:30. (Who’s idea was that?) All you devoted readers thirsting for more new, different, and exciting arrangements of letters from my fingertips will have to wait until next time.

      Really?
From what you gather? Are there rumors up about it online? That’s soooo cool. Hehe…
It’s like Calvin and Hobbes, but not quite. And with a monkey instead of a tiger.
