I should be writing.

28 Sep

The assertion that Mr. Lucas has no right to add Gungans, Greedo’s first shot and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker’s ghost amounts to advocating censorship.

Oh, and Spaceballs 2 is coming. No word yet on whether it will be called “The Search for More Money.”

    EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! *excitedkittensqueal*
Thats such wonderful news!!!!!! Are they keeping the same cast? I really don’t care, except for Bill Pullman. If he isnt in it, I won’t see it.

      Whoa there!
Let’s not get so excited just yet… the only thing we know for sure is that Mel Brooks is currently writing it. Besides, it’s only Spaceballs 2 (or perhaps “Spaceballs 3: The Search for 2”). How many more really awful jokes can there be in the world that he hasn’t used yet?

Good lord. IMHO, Star Wars belongs to Lucas, and he can do whatever the fuck he wants with it. Why aren’t these people bitching about the butcher jobs fanfics have done to Lucas’ vision?

      Well…
I’m sure they are bitching about that too… but they’re much more concerned with what they see as the butcher job he has done to his own vision (as if they could possibly have any idea what that is…) people seem to bitch about everything Star Wars these days. Strange people. Do you have the utterly gorgeous DVDs yet?

i’m confused what all has changed????

      hehe
Well, there’s lots of little changes, and a tiny amount of little significant changes. Little changes are things like more stormtroopers in certain shots, or different backgrounds in Cloud City. More significant changes are things like they put in Hayden Christensen as he will appear in Episode III, at the end of Return of the Jedi, replacing Anakin as he used to appear there.
Most of these changes were done when they released the Special Editions in 1997. A few were done for this DVD release. All of them, I think, are only noticed and debated by people who analyze every frame of the films.
